2024 Travel Reflections: From Bhutan to Botswana, Your Adventures Inspired Us
Glacier Wall, Patagonia
Dear Friends and Fellow Travellers,
As we welcome in 2025 we take this opportunity to reflect on some of the remarkable journeys we have shared with you around the globe. You gave us wings to fly, to be creative and trusted us to put together wonderful journeys for you. Many of you brought along the people you care about the most. Milestone birthdays, milestone events like retirement or graduation or simply finally taking the trip you talked about for years. From prayer wheels at misty temples in Bhutan; giant glacier walls and jagged mountains in Patagonia; entering Machu Pichu in the late afternoon light; there were many moments or awe and personal achievement.
In Africa whether you woke up to a dusty burnt orange sunrise in Botswana, silently canoed channels on the Zambezi River, rested under the stars of the beautiful Laikipia Plateau in Kenya or Lake Manyara and the Rift Valley in Tanzania – there were too many moments on safari to mention.
Some of you ventured far from the crowds to lesser known islands – Sao Tome and Principe, The Azores, Easter Island and Islas Secas off the coast of Panama. Others travelled to islands well known and much loved – New Zealand, The Galapagos, multiple islands in the Caribbean - your enthusiasm, and adventurous spirit inspired us. You know we love islands
One of our favorite guest reflections captures the emotion of unexpected moments far from our every day lives:
"We flew from Toronto to Hwange, Zimbabwe without a break. We landed on that dirt airstrip in late day light made red by dust, and were greeted by a herd of elephants at the end of the runway. As the plane took off, leaving us with just silence, our guide and his jeep, it was hard not to feel like we were in a movie… and hard not to be overwhelmed by the miracle of simply being there. We felt like we’d ‘crossed over’ in the hero’s journey sense. I will never forget it."

To our valued partners on the ground across Africa, Asia, Latin America, The Caribbean, Europe and the Pacific whose dedication and care make every journey exceptional - thank you. We are grateful for your commitment to conservation, community, and creating perfectly executed experiences for our guests.
May your holidays be filled with friends, family and love. Wishing everyone, far and wide, the very best for 2025.
